The New Moon in Capricorn

New Year.

New Moon.

The New Moon in Capricorn.

I wrote "reading", but meant "ready" is writing the phrase... Are you ready to ascend towards your goals?

Clearly, the Goat sometimes stumbles as it is attempting to ascend the mountain.

Not to worry however, as we will have lots of practice to get good at climbing in 2024, and this year there are four major lunar transits in Capricorn, two New Moons to bookend the year and two Full Moons in between.

The First New Moon of 2024 will be in Capricorn. (January 11, 2024)

The Last New Moon of 2024 will be in Capricorn. (December 30, 2024)

In between these two New Moons there will be two Full Moons in Capricorn. The first will be on June 21, 2024, and the second will be on July 21, 2024.

This is shaping up to be the year of the Goat. It is a rarity to have two Full Moons back-to-back in the same Sign. The last time there were two Full Moons in Capricorn in the same year was 2005.

Symbolized by the Goat, the Cardinal Earth sign of Capricorn represents responsibility and work. In order for the Goat to climb to the top of the mountain, they have to take responsibility for the work required to get there. If you want to climb the mountain, the only person who can do it for you, is you.

Gabriella and I discussed this transit and other other major transits for the week, in depth.

The New Moon in Capricorn Square the North Node in Aries

The New Moon in Capricorn occurs at 3:58 am Pacific Time on January 11, 2024.

The four cornerstones of Capricorn are…

1. Accountability

2. Ambition

3. Achievement

4. Authority

Capricorn is the earth that the building is built from.

What are you working to achieve?

What are you building?

In what ways are you keeping yourself accountable for your ambitions?

What would you like to accomplish?

How are you honoring your personal authority?

This New Moon aligns with the North Node in Aries.

The North Node is the karmic pathway of the Soul, or Soul’s Purpose. Aries is the Cardinal Fire Sign symbolized by the Ram.

When the Goat and Ram unite there is an urge to charge towards your fears in order to achieve your goals.

Aries is the Sign that represents authenticity.

Capricorn is the Sign that represents achievement.

Is what you want to achieve authentic to you?

Aries is the Sign that asks the questions: Who am I?

Capricorn is the Sign that asks: What do I want to achieve?

The North Node in Aries is urging you to face your fears, your insecurities, and to reclaim semblance of self, while the New Moon in Capricorn is asking you to determine:

What is worth your time?

Saturn is the planetary ruler of Capricorn. Saturn is the God of Wealth and Time. Therefore when setting your intentions during this New Moon in Capricorn, ask yourself:

How am I spending my time?

Is what I’m spending my time on, authentic to me?

Who do I want to spend my time with?

In this inspiring video below which chronicles Goats scaling the sheer face of a dam, the kid follows its mother wherever she goes, as she teaches her kid how to climb the dam.

The Ram energy of Aries however is urging you to express your individuality with regards to your goals.

During this New Moon in Capricorn:

Set your intentions to be authentic in terms of how you spend your time.

Set your intentions to choose goals that are authentic to you.

Set your intentions to plot your course to ascend towards your goals.

Set your intentions to spend time with those who are helping you reach your goals.

Set your intentions to commit to doing the work required to follow the course you have set to achieve your goals.

Set your intentions to hold those accountable who have committed to helping you achieve your goals, while also taking responsibility for what you have committed to, as well.

Set your intentions for where you want to be with these goals by June 21, during the first Full Moon in Capricorn, July 21, during the second Full Moon in Capricorn, and December 30, during the next New Moon in Capricorn.

Let me know how it goes, and as always, remember to keep your feet on the ground, while enjoying the view as you make your way to the top!
