MONDAY, March 20

The Sun in Aries

Most people like to make their New Year’s resolution at the beginning of the calendar year. Three months into the “new year” those resolutions seem to lose steam.

Why is that?

My theory is that the calendar new year is meant to be the final stretch to complete whatever you have been working on, rather than starting something new.

Now is the time to begin a new project and take the steps necessary to bring new plans into fruition.

Why now, instead of January 1?

The reason is because today the Sun begins to transit through Aries, the Cardinal Fire Sign symbolized by the Ram, and ruled by Mars, the god of war, the planet of action, aggression, and conflict.

Cardinal means to initiate, to start.

Fire is extraverted, expressive, because fire can touch you, but you cannot touch fire.

Mars is about pushing forward, and charging ahead. This is the type of energy you need to get out of the gate and go.

On top of all of all of the aforementioned, the Sun is exalted in Aries, which means that it is in a position of power, strength, and greater vitality.

This is an energy I use for myself every year. Most notably, it was three years ago when the Sun was at 14° in Aries. Great time to start something new, and here we are when in two weeks we will be celebrating the three-year anniversary of The Weekly Transit Astrology podcast.

What would you like to start?

What are you most afraid of?

Where do you feel most insecure?

Are you ready to charge ahead in some aspect of your life?

What obstacles must you attack in order to push yourself out of the gate and into the game?

The four cornerstones of Aries are self-love, courage, confidence, and authenticity.

In order to be authentic you must be confident.

In order to be confident you must be courageous.

In order to be courageous you must love yourself.

You must know who you are in order to get what you want. Use this energy to define yourself through your actions.

When: March 20 – April 20

The Sun transits through Aries every year from March 20 until either April 19 or 20.

This period could be challenging for those born with key astrological points or planets in Cancer and Capricorn.

°°°

Venus Conjunct the North Node Retrograde in Taurus

Venus is the goddess of love, the planet of relationships, and planetary ruler of Taurus.

The North Node is the Soul’s Purpose, or karmic pathway of the Soul.

In order to charge ahead towards something with the Sun in Aries energy it is important to know what is worth charging towards.

If you know yourself, as defined by Aries, then you have greater clarity of your self-worth, which is Taurus.

What do you value?

How are you valued by yourself?

How are you valued by others?

Do you value those you are in relationship with?

Do those you are in a relationship with value you?

Define your self-worth by having the courage to be yourself.

When you have the courage to be yourself, you are taking action that says, “being me, matters.”

When: March 19 – 21

This period could be challenging for those born with key astrological points or planets in Leo and Aquarius.

TUESDAY, March 21

The New Moon in Aries

There are two New Moons in Aries in 2023. One today, March 21 at 0° in Aries (the first degree), and another on April 19 at 29° in Aries (the final degree).

The last time there were two New Moons in Aries was 2004.

What themes were occurring in your life in 2004 that are similar to what is occurring in your life now?

From a world perspective one way to look at this unique opportunity to have two New Moons in Aries is to think back to September 11, 2001, when a horrific trauma occurred. At that moment, the world as we knew it changed.

In 2020 another trauma occurred that caused the world as we knew it to change.

Just as life never went back to what it was like before 2001, life has not returned to the way it was prior to 2020.

What that means is with two New Moons in Aries now is an opportune time to redefine who you are in the new world.

Remember the Four Cornerstones of Aries...

1. Self-love

2. Courage

3. Confidence

4. Authenticity

The New Moon is an opportunity to set your intentions for what you want moving forward. This year, you get to set them twice, because each New Moon in Aries will have its own unique vibe. The first New Moon in Aries is an initiation. The second New Moon in Aries is a rebirth of the initiation.

Set your intentions to love yourself.

Set your intentions to be courageous.

Set your intentions to live with confidence.

Set your intentions to authentically express yourself.

Are you loving yourself?

Are your actions courageous?

Are you living with confidence?

Are you expressing yourself authentically?

Look at the following dates as marker points for your manifestations…

April 5, 2023 – the Full Moon in Libra

April 19, 2023 – the New Moon in Aries

September 29, 2023 – the Full Moon in Aries

October 14, 2023 - the New Moon in Libra

March 25, 2024 - the Full Moon in Libra

April 8, 2024 - the New Moon in Aries

Where would you like to be with regards to your self-love, courageousness, confidence, and authentic behavior, especially within your close, personal relationships?

How has your self-love, courageousness, confidence, and authenticity evolved during this time period?

Charge ahead, redefine who you are, and courageously express yourself with authenticity. Whatever conflicts arise from this act is meant to move the energy that is stuck, in order to drive you towards where you are truly meant to be, and who you are meant to be with.

When: 10:24am PST/1:24pm EST

This period could be challenging for those born with key astrological points or planets in Cancer and Capricorn.

WEDNESDAY, March 22

The Moon Conjunct Chiron in Aries

It is not easy to charge ahead and be authentic, but by making this commitment for yourself, you must face the fears that are preventing you from being who you are meant to be.

The Moon is the planet of emotions.

Chiron is the wound and the ancient wisdom that is unlocked through healing that wound.

What fears are preventing you from charging ahead?

What fears must you face in order to move forward?

Where are you most insecure in your life?

Face these insecurities with love for yourself. It is through that love that you will find the courage to face your fears.

When: 8am – 2pm PST

This period could be challenging for those born with key astrological points or planets in Cancer and Capricorn.

THURSDAY, March 23

Pluto in Aquarius

Pluto, the god of death, lord of the underworld, the planet of transformation begins transit in Aquarius for the first time since 1798.

Yes, you read that correctly. The last time Pluto was in Aquarius was December 26, 1798.

Aquarius is the Fixed Air Sign symbolized by the Water Bearer, and ruled by Saturn and Uranus.

Fixed Signs are the signs that stabilize the energy of the season, however for those who live in the North Hemisphere when the Sun is in Aquarius it is the middle of Winter, a season that can be the most unforgiving.

Saturn is the planet of restriction, responsibility, hard work, authority, and achievement.

Uranus is the planet of revolution, rebellion, innovation, and the unexpected.

The Water Bearer represents the village, the group, club, organization, team, social network, social cause, or society.

The last time Pluto transited through Aquarius two societies were drastically transformed.

The American Revolution began in 1775 when Pluto was in Capricorn and ended in 1783 when Pluto was in Aquarius.

The Patriot Revolt against Orangist rule in the Dutch Republic lasted from 1780-1787.

The Revolt in Bihar against the British East India Company occurred in 1781.

The Revolt of the Comuneros against the Viceroyalty of New Granada occurred in 1781.

The Geneva Revolution, a short-lived revolt by the third estate against the oligarchic Republic of Geneva occurred in 1782.

Lofthusreisingen, a large farmer’s rebellion in Agder in Norway occurred between 1786-1787.

Shays’ Rebellion in Massachusetts against court proceedings collecting taxes and debts occurred between 1786-1787.

The Abaco Slave Revolt, the first slave revolt in the Bahamas occurred in 1787.

The Kočina Krajina Serb rebellion against the Ottoman Empire occurred in 1788.

The French Revolution began in 1789 when Pluto was in Aquarius and ended in 1799 when Pluto was in Pisces.

During The Liège Revolution, the price-bishops of Liège were overthrown by a popular uprising between 1789-1791.

Saxon Peasants’ Revolt occurred in 1790.

The Mina conspiracy, a slave revolt in the self-organized African-American Mina community, occurred in 1791.

The Haitian Revolution, a slave rebellion, occurred between 1791-1804, beginning when Pluto was in Aquarius and ending when Pluto was in Pisces.

Slave rebellion produced in the Guadeloupe island following the outbreak of the French Revolution in 1793.

The War in the Vendée was a popular uprising against the Republican government during the French Revolution lasting between 1793-1796.

The Kościuszko Uprising, also known as the Polish Revolt attempted to liberate the Commonwealth of Poland from Imperial Russia and Kingdom of Prussia.

The Whiskey Rebellion in Pittsburgh occurred in 1794.

The Batavian Revolution occurred in 1795.

The Curaçao Slave Revolt against the Dutch Colonial Empire occurred in 1795.

Boca de Nigua Revolt, a major slave uprising in the Dominican Republic occurred in 1796.

The White Lotus Rebellion against the Qing dynasty of China occurred between 1796-1804, beginning when Pluto was in Aquarius and ending when Pluto was in Pisces.

The Industrial Revolution began in Britain in the 1780s with the inception of mechanized textiles spinning.

Needless to say, we are at the precipice of a revolutionary period of life on Earth. Not all of these rebellions were successful for the rebels. Many of these rebellions were put down, however the two most significant ones, the American and French Revolutions overthrew monarchies and reshaped the very consciousness of society. It is truly unimaginable to think of where the world will be 20-years from now.

Countries as we know them may be no more. Technological advancements will be those which are truly beyond our comprehension at this point in time.

It will be interesting to see what life is like as Pluto dips its toe into Aquarius for the next nine weeks, or so.

The key frequencies to follow during this period are to remember the four cornerstones of Aquarius, as mentioned in #145 during the New Moon in Aquarius.

1.Individuality

2.Independence

3.Innovation

4.Community

What are you doing to celebrate your individuality?

Are you taking responsibility to claim your independence?

What innovations are you bringing to society?

In what ways are you engaging, or contributing to your community?

It is through committing to being the unique individual that you are that you will discover the gift that will support you in thriving through life, and lifting up those around you.

SATURDAY, March 25

Mars in Cancer

For the first time in seven months Mars is finally in a new Sign, unfortunately the Sign Mars is transiting into is one of the most difficult Signs for Mars to be in, Cancer.

Cancer is Cardinal Water, symbolized by the Crab, and ruled by the Moon.

The god of war transiting through the sign of emotions, the home, your roots, childhood, and ancestors.

It has been a grind dealing with Mars in Gemini for seven months. Hopefully you were able to harness the courage to ask questions, and listen.

Mars in Cancer means it is time for you to harness the courage to express your emotions, and receive the emotions of those you are closest two. What that means is there could be some emotional outbursts during this period, especially within the home, or family dynamics.

It is time to churn up the roots of where you come from. It is not easy to look back at the past, or to face family tension. This is why Mars is here, to give you the courage to navigate these difficult areas of life.

Thinking back to the New Moon in Aries and following through with your intentions to be authentic, and following the Pluto in Aquarius frequency to lean into your individuality.

These energetic tones may upset the balance in your home, or family life, because those you are closest to may be accustomed to seeing someone who puts up a façade and conforms in order to fit in. If you are following the Aries and Aquarius frequencies, there could be conflicts that then come up.

How can you show courage in your emotions?

How can you be more authentic in your emotional expression?

Are you being authentic in your family dynamics?

Can you be confident in your home life?

Pay attention to the tension, especially in the areas where you are most emotionally sensitive. It is time to move through the energies that are stuck.

This Time: March 25 - May 20, 2023

Last Time: April 23 - June 11, 2021

The Time Before Last: May 15 – July 1, 2019

This period could be challenging for those born with key astrological points or planets in Aries and Libra.

SUNDAY, March 26

The Moon in Gemini Sextile Chiron in Aries

The Moon aligns with Chiron for the second time this week, instead this time it aligns from Gemini, the sign of communication, giving you the opportunity to listen.

What questions are you afraid to ask?

What conversations have you been avoiding?

Are you having trouble listening to someone you are close to?

This alignment between the Moon and Chiron is creating an opportunity along with Mars in Cancer to really open up the discussion within your family and home life.

Get the conversation started and have the courage to listen.

When: 7pm (3/26) – 1am (3/27) PDT

This period could be challenging for those born with key astrological points or planets in Cancer, Virgo, Capricorn, and Pisces.
