#142 December 26 - January 1: Mercury Retrograde Rings in the New Year

Greetings,

As we close out the Gregorian Calendar for 2022, Ingrid shares some exciting news about going on a date with a client.

Is that even legal?

Her story brings up a good example of the transits this week, where we focus on five conjunctions.

Each conjunction is urging you to take either responsibility for what you want to accomplish (especially in relationships) facing your fears, showing yourself compassion, and finding empathy for your partners.

Mercury’s retrograde transit rings us into the New Year, so now could be a good time to reflect, and review what you have accomplished, or where you have fallen short.

Take those first steps, however small they may be, towards what you want to achieve, especially by the end of Q1 2023.

#142 Mercury Retrograde Rings in the New Year

The themes this week are…

1. Courage

2. Compassion

3. Responsibility

Last week Jupiter transited into Aries, and the dumpster of your unconscious was pushed into the middle of the street and set ablaze, or maybe that was just me. To learn more about the themes of this dumpster fire, check out last week’s forecast.

This week we’re highlighting five conjunctions, and the beginning of Mercury Retrograde. Slow down. Take your time. Clear off what is already on your plate, rather than add anything new, especially with regards to goals, or ambitions.

A conjunction is when two planets are at the same degree in the same sign. Three of those conjunctions involve the Moon. When this occurs there is an increase of emotional sensitivity to whatever planetary frequency the Moon in aligning with.

The reason courage is a theme this week is because the Moon forms a conjunction with Chiron in the Sign of Courage, Aries.

The reason compassion is a theme this week is because Venus, the Moon, and Mercury Retrograde, all aspect Neptune, the planetary ruler of Pisces, in Pisces, Sign of Compassion.

The reason responsibility is a theme this week is because the Moon conjuncts Saturn, the planet of responsibility, in the Sign it rules, Aquarius, while Mercury Retrograde, Venus, and Pluto all form aspects in Capricorn, the Sign of Responsibility.

If you are curious how these, or any other transits are affecting you directly, I encourage you to reach out to me for a reading.

Wishing you all the best through the week, as you ride the planetary waves!

It is time to hold yourself accountable for how your emotions have been affecting those around you. It could also be a time to take a logical look at how those around you have been affecting you emotionally.

Are you showing yourself compassion for any guilt, shame, regret, or blame which you are holding over yourself?

Mercury Retrograde Conjunct Venus in Capricorn

The planet of the conscious mind, Mercury, begins its retrograde transit in a conjunction with the planet of relationships, Venus, in the Sign of Responsibility. This could be a challenge for relationships.

What have you said recently in your close, personal relationships that you would like to revisit, review, or rescind?

It might be time to rewind the tape, listen back to what was communicated, and find a more appropriate way to share your thoughts with those you are closest to.

Take responsibility for what you’ve said to your partner, and hold them accountable for what they’ve said to you.

That being said, take your time with what you attempting to communicate, as words may be more difficult to comprehend.

Do your best to refrain from being impulsive, or adding anything new to your plate. Give yourself plenty of time, and space to exchange thoughts.

The entirety of Mercury’s retrograde transit occurs in Capricorn, meaning the theme here is responsibility, goals, what is worth your time, and the work necessary to achieve.

Continue to focus on whatever you have already been focused on rather than adding new projects to your plate. Think about where you want to be with regards to these projects by January 18 when Mercury retrograde ends, and February 6 when Mercury exits its retrograde shadow.
